An established industry player is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to lead procurement activities for critical projects. This role involves developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with security regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive procurement experience in complex industries such as Shipbuilding or Aerospace, with a proven ability to analyze market conditions and negotiate contracts effectively. The Senior Procurement Specialist will be expected to support internal stakeholders with the procurement of materials and services. Using sourcing strategies to manage spend and deliver value to the business. This includes, but is not limited to, analyzing market conditions, supplier qualification, providing contracting strategies, and performing RFx events. A Senior Procurement Specialist will be required to negotiate and execute materials and services contracts, manage risk within the contract portfolio, and monitor supplier performance. They will also manage KPIs, conduct cost analysis, and develop or refine supply chain processes. Additionally, they will oversee subcontractor mobilization to site, including safety/security requirements, orientation, and kick-off meetings. All activities will involve engagement with internal stakeholders such as Engineering, Operations, Sustaining Capital Projects, Management, Senior Leadership, HSE, and Finance.
All successful applicants must meet the requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security Clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
The Senior Procurement Specialist is responsible for full lifecycle procurement activities for a portfolio of high/critical complexity packages for the River Class Destroyer (RCD) program, including systems, equipment, and materials.
