Job summary

Vessi Footwear in Vancouver is seeking an Ecomm/Product Photographer & Editor (Contract/ Freelance) to lead hands-on product shoots in our studio. You will manage high-volume capture to final retouched assets, working independently with a strong eye for consistency and brand standards.

Responsibilities include lighting setup, styling, shooting across footwear and apparel, tethered workflows with Capture One/Photoshop, and fast turnaround to meet site timelines.

Qualifications

• Professional experience in e-commerce or product photography.
• Strong product photography portfolio.
• Knowledge of studio lighting and consistent setups.
• Experience with tethered shooting workflows.
• Own professional camera equipment.
• Ability to handle high-volume asset production.
• Excellent color accuracy with color checker.
• Works well independently and meets deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Photograph products across footwear, apparel, and accessories.
• Set up and operate studio lighting and camera equipment.
• Follow lighting and composition standards for consistency.
• Style and position products accurately for shoots.
• Capture multiple angles per shot list.
• Review images for focus, exposure, and quality.
• Retouch for final e-commerce use (color, background, dust).
• Export assets and organize folders per specs.
• Meet deadlines and manage asset volume.
• Collaborate with Creative team on feedback.
