Job summary

A healthcare institution is seeking an Echocardiogram Technologist to produce high-frequency ultrasonic recordings for diagnostic purposes. Qualifications

  • Must have two or more registries, Echocardiogram (AE) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) (RCS).
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a clinic or hospital setting.
  • Knowledge of safety, privacy, and HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Explain process to patient and assist in assuming physical position for examination.
  • Selects equipment for ultrasound setup according to specifications.
  • Operates equipment to produce images of internal organs.

Skills

Knowledge of ultrasound procedures and protocols
Skill in production of sonograms meeting physician expectations
Ability to communicate clearly in person and over the phone
Knowledge of customer service concepts

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Current CPR certification
