Agro Seasonal Driver/Maintenance – Full Time

Description:

Homestead Co-op is hiring a Full Time Seasonal Driver/Maintenance Personnel at our Austin Agro Site location.

What you’ll do:

Reporting to the Agro Manager, your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for deliveries and receiving of the commodities sold at the site, which can include fertilizer, chemicals, seed, and equipment.
  • Safe and efficient handling of all deliveries, returns, and receiving of product while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Responsible for ensuring maintenance and cleaning of the delivery unit, completing daily and monthly safety checks.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and organization of all facilities, including the yard, to ensure a professional image is maintained at all times.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in Retail and:

  • Have experience delivering Ag products and knowledge of the trading area (preferred).
  • Are able to work both independently and as a member of a highly motivated team.
  • Possess excellent customer service skills, communication skills, and the ability to problem solve.
  • Are highly motivated.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Hold a valid Class 3 Driver’s License.
  • Have forklift, WHMIS, TDG training (required and will be provided).
  • Can lift/carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Can work flexible hours depending on the demands of the season.
  • Are honest, trustworthy, results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.
