Manitoulin Family Resources is seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and community-minded EarlyON Educator to join our Children Services team. This role is dedicated to supporting children, parents, and caregivers through play-based learning, family engagement, and community connection through the creation of inclusive, culturally responsive spaces where families can learn, grow, and thrive together. Using How Does Learning Happen? as the foundation, Educators will design and deliver high-quality programs that promote belonging, well-being, engagement, and expression. The ideal candidate is passionate about child development, skilled in family support, and excited to collaborate with community partners.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education and registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE).
  • Valid First Aid/Infant CPR Certificate.
  • Strong knowledge of child development, early learning principles, and parenting/family support resources.
  • Experience working with children and families in a play-based setting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of community resources, referral pathways, and family support systems.
  • Proficient with digital systems, email, and software applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of HDLH, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Child Care and Early Years Act, and Child and Family Services Act.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, clear VSS, and insurable driver’s abstract are requirements of the position and conditions of hire.

PLEASE NOTE: Non – RECE’s may be considered, with the opportunity of receiving additional education and designation.

This position is a bargaining unit position. Flexibility in scheduling will be required to meet the needs of the Children Services program, with the position averaging 35 hours per week.
