Job summary

Family Day Care Services in Markham is seeking a Program Facilitator, Contract Full Time, to plan and lead engaging programs for children from birth to six years old and their families. The role involves indoors, outdoors, and virtual activities, with evenings and weekends required.

The successful candidate will support diverse communities, maintain program quality, and coordinate with satellite locations. Start date September 1, 2026, end date August 27, 2027.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of parent education, child development & community resources.
• Experience in facilitating parent education workshops.
• Excellent organizational & computer, communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to Social Inclusion.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to speak second language an asset.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates, promotes and articulates the value of children’s play as learning.
• Plans and facilitates a variety of developmentally appropriate programs for families.
• Provides families/caregivers with evidenced based information to questions based on all aspects of a child’s development.
• Maintains good relationships with other community agencies and early learning programs.
