Job summary

Gordon Food Service Canada is seeking a delivery associate to ensure timely, accurate deliveries and serve as a liaison between management and customers. You will operate delivery vans and CMVs, perform pre/post trip inspections, and maintain paperwork while upholding safety and professional conduct.

The role requires a valid Class 1 license, strong communication, and the ability to work early mornings with 4x10 schedules.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class 1 License.
• Adhere to safety/compliance regulations and procedures.
• Maintain a professional appearance with GFS uniform.
• Punctuality, problem solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Work independently and in a team environment.
• Goal oriented with a positive attitude.
• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, accurate, timely, and efficient deliveries.
• Build and maintain good customer relationships; demonstrate self-control.
• Collect customer payments and safeguard company funds.
• Perform all Sales Service functions by the 90th day of employment.
• Maintain equipment; monitor reefer temperature and report issues.
• Complete daily check-ins accurately and on time.
• Communicate customer concerns with management and sales reps.
• Perform daily pre/post trip inspections and manage paperwork.
