Job summary

An early learning center in Port Coquitlam is seeking a Full-Time Manager. You will oversee daily operations, lead staff, and engage with families while ensuring quality early childhood education. A secondary school completion and relevant experience are required, with a valid BC ECE Certificate preferred. The position offers a competitive wage of $36.60/hour and benefits including vacation pay and extended medical coverage.

Qualification:

  • A college diploma or vocational certificate in Education and/or Early Childhood Education is preferred.
  • Holds a valid BC ECE (Early Childhood Educator) Certificate is an asset.

Main duties:

  • Responsible for the daily operations, administration, and staff leadership of our early learning centre
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of our centre
  • Plan, develop and implement child development programs
  • Oversee the learning environment and daily activities for children
  • Communicate with parents and guardians
  • Establish or implement policies and procedures for staff
  • Ensure compliance with regulations
  • Plan and control budget and inventory
  • Respond to inquiries or complaints and resolve problems
  • Hire, train and supervise early childhood educators and/or staff.

Working conditions:

Working hours: 30 hours per week (full-time & permanent position)

Wage: $36.60 per hour

Benefits: 4% of vacation pay, 2 weeks paid vacation during the winter break, 5 sick days per year, and extended medical/dental benefits
