The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) is hiring an Early Learning Assistant (Extended Day Program) to support after-school childcare under the supervision of the Early Childhood Educator. The role focuses on playful learning, safety, and positive behavior modeling within OCDSB programs in Ottawa.
Required are a High School diploma, 1 year of post-secondary childcare experience, First Aid/CPR Level C, and a vulnerable sector police check.

Summary : Working under the direction of the Early Childhood Educator, the Early Learning Assistant (Extended Day Program) assists in the provision of childcare to students after school (including professional activity day and school break periods); enhancing child-based play; encouraging and guiding, and modeling appropriate behaviour techniques. Performs other duties to support the overall objectives and goals of the program. A working knowledge of English is required.
$19.79 + 4% vacation pay/hour.
