Job summary

The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is seeking a Casual Program Assistant to support toddler and preschool early learning centres at Woodroffe HS, Queen Elizabeth PS, and Shingwàkons PS. Under the Program Coordinator, you will assist in providing childcare, enhance child-based play, encourage and guide children, and model appropriate behaviour.

• High School Diploma and at least 1 year of childcare experience.
• Knowledge of early childhood development and goals of infant/toddler/preschool programs.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children and motivate them.
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR/AED Level C certificate.
• Police record check for the Vulnerable Sector within 6 months for external applicants.
• Immunization against MMR and Tdap.
• Commitment to equity and a qualified workforce.
