Early Childhood Group Leader Assistant/Attendant to work in Atchison. We have full-time and part-time positions available.

The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center serving Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. We are seeking an Early Childhood Group Leader Assistant/Attendant to provide attendant care services to clients participating in our Early Childhood program. As an employee of TGC, you will have the opportunity to support Kansas's most vulnerable population. We uniquely offer counseling, case management, psychosocial, and medication services all at one site, emphasizing a holistic approach to care.

Salary and Benefits

• Base hourly rate of $19.69 to $22.10, depending on relevant experience.

Primary Duties

• Provide attendant care services to promote successful daily activities and group interactions among clients.
• Encourage and support clients' problem-solving and social interaction efforts.
• Work respectfully with clients' parents/caregivers, maintaining appropriate boundaries.
• Co-facilitate groups and assist in developing group program curriculum.
• Support clients' engagement in pro-social and YPP activities.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED required. Must have completed one year of college coursework in human services, or have one year of experience in the field, or a combination of education and work experience in human services.

Experience: At least 6 months of experience working with individuals in the community, including practicum or volunteer work. Preferred: experience with individuals with mental health issues.
