This position is open to all CUPE employees. Preference will be granted in accordance with the Collective Agreement for CUPE local 1479 to permanent internal candidates, especially those that are currently Designated Early Childhood Educators with the Board. Temporary employees will have their applications considered prior to external applicants.

The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board serves approximately 12,000 students, employs over 1,400 full‑time equivalent staff, and covers a geographical area of more than 16,000 square kilometers (Whitney in the North, Picton in the South, Trenton in the West, and Kingston in the East). Reporting to the Principal, the Designated Early Childhood Educator will partner with the classroom teacher to plan and implement a full day early learning program supporting the faith initiatives within a Catholic classroom setting and provide supervision and age‑appropriate Catholic programming for groups of students as part of the extended day program as required.
