Job summary

A childcare facility is seeking dedicated staff to care for infants and toddlers. Responsibilities include developing child-care programs, engaging children in activities, and ensuring their safety and well-being. Applicants must have a college diploma and relevant certifications such as First Aid and CPR. This is a permanent position requiring 35 hours of work per week.

Qualifications

  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience in childcare is an asset.
  • Food allergy and anaphylaxis training, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate required.

  • Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers.

Responsibilities
  • Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
  • Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
  • Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
Education and Experience
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
  • Experience: Experience an asset
