Early Childhood Development Facilitator

Full-Time – 37.5 hours per week (One year term with the possibility of extension)

The Agency is seeking a positive, energetic, dedicated person who wants to make a difference in the lives of children and caregivers. As a member of our dynamic team, the Early Childhood Development Facilitator delivers a range of groups and services in the community, for children and caregivers to foster resilience and capacity building.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum of a Post-Secondary Diploma in a relevant Human Service field
  • Registration, licensing and/or certification as required by relevant professional bodies.
  • Minimum 1-year direct experience facilitating early childhood development and caregiver education groups and supports in a preventative setting with diverse populations
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Solid understanding of child development, family dynamics and best practice in the field
  • Energetic with strong facilitation skills
  • Familiar with and knowledge of accessing community resources
  • Ability to build a trusting, positive relationship with individuals using a strength based and trauma informed approach
  • Strong professional boundaries
  • Excellent communication, computer, and organization skills
  • Strong networking skills and the ability to be a respectful and collaborative team member.
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule, work environment and work demands
Other:
  • Valid Police Information Check and Alberta Children’s Services Intervention Check.
  • CPR/ First Aid is an asset
  • Access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule, which could include daytime, evening, and Saturday hours.
