Job description

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Assistant Educator to join our team! As an Early Childhood Assistant Educator, you will help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children while supporting the lead child care educator in their daily activities. You will play an important role in the emotional, social, and physical development of children in our care. Languages required: English

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the supervision and care of children aged 8 months – 12 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Participate in and assist with daily activities including games, arts and crafts, storytelling, and outdoor play.
  • Support children in developing social and emotional skills.
  • Encourage positive behavior and reinforce appropriate discipline.
  • Assist with meal and snack times, ensuring children are eating in a clean and safe environment.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized space.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and other staff members regarding children’s needs and progress.
  • Follow all safety and health protocols, including sanitation procedures and emergency procedures.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Early Childhood Education courses or Diploma preferred).
  • Previous experience working with children.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and families.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with children.
  • Must pass a criminal record check and be CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain certification).
