Job summary

Willis Towers Watson is seeking a retirement consulting analyst to support global organizations in optimizing defined benefit and defined contribution retirement programs. You will analyze data, design funding and investment approaches, and help with plan communications and governance.

You will learn about WTW services, partner with consultants on client projects, and benefit from an actuarial exam study program with paid study hours and coaching to progress toward an accredited designation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in actuarial science, economics, finance, mathematics, statistics or similar with significant quantitative coursework and a minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Work experience showing technical and/or client service skills; internship preferred.
  • Strong problem solving and communication abilities; self-starter who works well in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with designing, funding, pricing retirement programs and related implementations.
  • Perform asset/liability modeling and actuarial valuations for clients.
  • Contribute to plan reporting, filing and administration tasks.
  • Collaborate with consultants to deliver technical actuarial and consulting support on projects.

  • Designing, funding, pricing, and the implementation and management of retirement programs.
  • Competitive benchmarking analysis of benefit plan designs.
  • Develop professional expertise, as well as technical knowledge and skills in the area of retirement plans.
  • Working with a wide range of associates at all levels within the local practice.
  • Performing asset/liability modelling.
  • Perform actuarial pension valuations for a variety of clients.
  • This entails manipulating data, analyzing data, determining plan liabilities, reconciling plan assets, and determining funding requirements.
  • Assist with completion of plan reporting and filing requirements.
  • Perform plan administrative tasks such as completing benefit calculations, reviewing plan documents, and producing benefit statements.
Qualifications

About you.

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in actuarial science, economics, finance, mathematics, statistics or any other major with significant quantitative course work, and minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Work experience that demonstrates strong technical and/or client service skills (analyst type of internship preferred)
  • Passion for solving problems and sharing solutions to exceed the standards of the client
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work independently, but also cooperatively in a close team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to interact with colleagues at all levels
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel
  • Accepting applications from candidates that graduate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree between May 2026 through June 2027

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $70,000 CAD -$80,000 CAD per year.

This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
