Job summary

Framatome Canada is seeking a dedicated engineer to join our Ontario team in Pickering. You will perform standard engineering assignments across design, development, analysis, testing, and field support, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

You bring a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, strong problem solving, effective communication, and hands-on experience with CAD modeling and programming.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (4 years) in Engineering.
• Basic knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
• Basic communication skills to comprehend, follow direction and convey detailed technical data.
• Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Good problem identification and problem resolution skills.
• Exposure to use of CAD modeling and computer programming skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs standard engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks and resolution of field problems.
• Receives assistance and instructions on unusual or more complex features and possible solutions, as needed.
• Ensures compliance with government, organization and customer engineering standards.
• May independently evaluate, select and apply standard technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making minor adaptations and modifications.
• Works on special projects, as directed.
• Performs other related duties and tasks, as required.
• Utilizes existing and/or acquired technical expertise to find improved technical solutions to support the product life cycle/replacement of current Framatome technologies.
• Actively participates in solving technical issues identified by project management, business line management or by customer request with the objective to increase business opportunities for Framatome Canada Ltd.
• Maintains a safety mindset.
