Location: Canada (remote)

Shift: Day shifts and 1 weekend evening.

Full-time/Part-time: Full-time (40 hours per week)

Salary: $60,000 CAD plus competitive benefits.

About the Role

We are seeking compassionate, skilled EAP Clinical Counsellors to provide high-quality support to clients across Canada. This is a fully remote, full-time position (40 hours per week) with primarily daytime shifts and one weekend evening shift included. The role offers a salary of $60,000 for daytime schedules, along with competitive benefits.

What We’re Looking For
  • Master’s degree in mental health (social work, counselling, psychology, or related field).
  • Licensure is not required; we actively support your journey to obtaining it through clinical supervision and dedicated allowances.
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct client contact providing counselling or mental health services.
  • Experience with clinical assessment tools and short-term counselling modalities such as Solution-Focused Therapy, CBT, Mindfulness, Integrative, or Systemic counselling.
  • Training in crisis intervention and supporting high-risk clients is a plus.
  • Ability to work with clients experiencing substance abuse, crisis situations, mental health symptoms, or relationship/family challenges.
What You’ll Do

As a Clinical Counsellor, you will connect with clients via phone, video, chat, and email, creating a safe and supportive space where they feel heard and understood. Responsibilities
  • Provide single-session telephonic and video counselling, in-the-moment support, and crisis management.
  • Conduct thorough assessments to determine suitability for short-term counselling.
  • Manage high-risk situations, collaborating with clients and referring appropriately.
  • Appropriately refer clients to external resources or within WPO as part of our holistic approach.
  • Develop clear and concise treatment plans and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to a culture of care and excellence.
  • Any additional tasks pertinent to the position, as deemed appropriate by management.
