Qualifications

• Educational Assistant qualifications listed by the Board include: Educational Assistant Diploma, DSW, BSW, Social Services Diploma, or related educational credentials.
• Alternative EA qualifications with experience require a post-secondary degree in sociology and minimum 1,224 hours of related work experience, preferably with special needs.
• Additional assets include a valid Behaviour Management Systems certification, autism spectrum training, lifting/positioning training, and recent experience with students with special needs.
