Job summary

M-D Building Products, Inc. in Milton, Ontario is seeking a DZ-licensed truck driver to join our team.

You will safely transport building products to customer locations, uphold safety standards, and provide outstanding service while maintaining accurate logs and documentation. The role requires at least 2 years of commercial driving experience, a clean Ontario DZ license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario DZ Driver’s License with a clean driving abstract.
• Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario roadways and transportation regulations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work independently while remaining a team player.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused.
• Experience operating pallet jacks and material handling equipment (Preferred).
• Experience with building materials or manufacturing deliveries (Preferred).
• Knowledge of shipping and receiving documentation (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company trucks to transport products to customer locations.
• Follow assigned delivery routes and schedules to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Load and unload products while ensuring cargo is properly secured to prevent damage.
• Deliver goods safely and efficiently while complying with all company policies and traffic regulations.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including checking tires, fluids, lights, brakes, and overall vehicle condition.
