Job summary

Kenny U-Pull, a division of American Iron & Metal (AIM), is hiring a DZ Tow Truck Driver for our Newmarket, ON location. This full-time role involves safely transporting vehicles, keeping precise records, and performing inspections to ensure safe operation.

You must hold a valid DZ license with clean abstract and CVOR, and a tow certificate is preferred. 1–2 years’ experience, strong customer service, and knowledge of towing laws are required.

Qualifications

• Valid DZ driver's license with clean Abstract and CVOR.
• Valid towing certificate (preferred).
• 1–2 years of experience as a tow truck driver or similar role.
• Knowledge of towing laws, regulations and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely transporting customers' vehicles from pickup to branch.
• Maintaining records of towing assignments (vehicle info, locations, instructions).
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of tow truck and equipment.
• Performing laboring tasks such as depollution and tire dismounting as needed.
• Communicating with dispatchers, supervisors and customers to coordinate towing activities.
• Providing excellent customer service to our customers.

Job Description

We are currently seeking a motivated DZ Tow Truck Driver to join our team in Newmarket, ON. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about automobiles, enjoy hands‑on work and providing exceptional customer service.

What you’re responsible for:

• Safely transporting customers' vehicles from point of pick up to the branch
• Maintaining accurate records of towing assignments, including vehicle information, pick-up and drop-off locations, and any special instructions
• Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tow truck and equipment to ensure safe operation
• Performing labouring tasks that may including depollution, tire dismounting, etc
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors and customers to coordinate towing activities
• Providing our customers with excellent customer service!

To join our team:

• You have a valid DZ driver's license with cleaning driving abstract and CVOR
• You have a valid towing certificate (preferred)
• You have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a tow truck driver or in a similar role
• You have strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• You are knowledgeable about towing laws, regulations, and safety procedures
• You are able to operate and maneuver a tow truck safely in various road and weather conditions
