Job summary

Daniels Health is seeking a reliable, full-time Driver for Pick up and Delivery in Brampton, ON. A DZ license with Air Brakes is required. Expect early shifts starting between 3am and 6am, Sundays plus three other days, with potential overtime.

Minimum 12 months driving experience, clean CVOR/abstract, and ability to pass background checks are required. We offer a competitive hourly rate of $28 with a bonus program, benefits including pension, health and dental, and a guaranteed 40+ hour work

Qualifications

• DZ license with Air brakes.
• Ability to work any day/afternoons (evening/weekends).
• Shift start time between 3am - 6am.
• Sunday shift and 3 other days during the week.
• Ability to lift, push and pull weights of sixty pounds or more.
• Minimum of 12 months verifiable, related behind the wheel driving experience (within last 36 months).
• Clean CVOR and Driver’s Abstract (dated within last 30 days).
• Ability to pass background check, pre-employment medical test and a driver's road test or equivalent.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role.
• Ability to drive the vehicle safely in accordance with all traffic regulations.
• Ability to complete compliance paperwork and all shipping documents/bill of ladings.

Responsibilities

• Pre-trip and post-trip inspections; identify defects and report to Transportation Supervisor.
• Load and unload truck; secure items to prevent damage.
• Ensure materials are properly packaged and orders match packing slip before trip departure.
• Deliver and collect products/waste containers per schedule; assist customers with questions.
• Daily vehicle cleaning and disinfecting protocol.
• Record information on packing slip/manifest; comply with TDG regulations.
• Comply with environmental & health and safety policies and procedures.

Job Description

We're actively seeking reliable, full-time, permanent Driver for Pick up and Delivery!

Responsibilities

Competently performs pre-trip and post-trips inspections with the intent of identifying and communicating minor and major defects to the Transportation Supervisor, and also completes daily driver log book using HOS application on mobile device.

Loads and unloads truck by placing and securing items in such a manner that prevents damage to the products and truck, regular lifting will be required

Ensuring all materials are properly packaged, and orders are fully complete and in accordance with the packing slip prior to trip departure.

Deliver and collect products/waste containers in accordance with scheduled route and serves customers by understanding, resolving and/or forwarding customer questions.

Diligently completes Daniels' commercial vehicle cleaning and disinfecting protocol on a daily basis.

Accurately records information on packing slip and manifest, ensuring compliance with TDG Regulations.

Complies with all environmental & health and safety policies and procedures.
