Job description

Our client in the manufacturing and distribution sector is undergoing a major ERP transformation and is seeking an experienced Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Transformation Lead to lead the supply chain workstream.

This is a hands‑on functional role responsible for aligning end‑to‑end supply chain processes with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations / Supply Chain Management (D365 F&O / SCM). The successful candidate will work closely with Supply Chain leadership, IT, implementation partners, and business stakeholders to translate operational requirements into scalable, standardized ERP processes.

Duration: 6 month to start

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Supply Chain Business/Functional Lead for the Dynamics 365 ERP transformation.
• Lead and coordinate a team of supply chain functional SMEs throughout the implementation.
• Lead the review, design, and standardization of end‑to‑end supply chain processes within Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management.
• Provide functional leadership across demand planning and S&OP, procurement, inventory management, production planning, warehouse management, transportation and logistics, order fulfillment, and master data.
• Facilitate requirements gathering, process mapping, fit‑gap analysis, and future‑state design workshops.
• Translate business requirements into clear functional requirements for Dynamics 365 implementation and technical teams.
• Partner with IT and implementation consultants on D365 SCM solution design, configuration decisions, integrations, and functional requirements.
• Review proposed Dynamics solutions and challenge unnecessary customizations in favour of scalable, standardized functionality where appropriate.
• Identify process and system gaps and drive decisions and issue resolution throughout the implementation.
• Lead supply chain activities related to UAT, including test scenarios, test scripts, execution, defect resolution, and business sign‑off.
• Support data cleansing, migration, validation, and master data governance for supply chain information.
• Lead business readiness activities, including process documentation, training, knowledge transfer, and super‑user development.
• Support implementation planning, cutover, go‑live, and post‑production stabilization/hypercare.
• Drive adoption of new processes and Dynamics 365 capabilities across the supply chain organization.
• Establish and monitor supply chain KPIs such as service levels, inventory turns, forecast accuracy, on‑time delivery, warehouse productivity, transportation efficiency, and cost to serve.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, controls, service levels, and supply chain performance through the ERP transformation.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive supply chain experience, with strong knowledge across multiple areas including planning, procurement, inventory, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and order fulfillment.
• Demonstrated experience as a Supply Chain Functional Lead, Business Lead, Workstream Lead, or senior functional consultant on a major ERP implementation or transformation.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations / Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management (D365 SCM) highly preferred.
• Experience participating in or leading at least one significant end‑to‑end ERP implementation, including requirements, process design, testing, deployment, and stabilization.
• Strong understanding of ERP‑enabled supply chain processes and the ability to translate business requirements into functional system requirements.
• Experience working in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.
• Strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, procurement, warehouse management, demand planning, and logistics processes.
• Experience with process mapping, fit‑gap analysis, UAT, data migration, master data, and business readiness.
• Ability to work effectively with ERP implementation partners, technical teams, business SMEs, and senior leadership.
• Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, problem‑solving, and decision‑making capabilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business, Logistics, or a related discipline.
• Previous Dynamics AX experience combined with current Dynamics 365 experience is considered relevant.
