Job summary

Columbia Emergency Physicians Association, affiliated with Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster and Eagle Ridge Hospital in Port Moody, seeks full-time Emergency Physicians. Candidates must hold CCFP (EM) or FRCPC (EM) and be eligible for BC licensure; PALS/APLS within five years; ABEM eligible.

Experience in high-volume, high-acuity ED is preferred. The role offers flexible scheduling across two sites with about 13 shifts per month and compensation around $400,000+ per year; locum

Qualifications

• CCFP (EM) or FRCPC (EM) certification required.
• Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
• PALS or APLS certification within five years.
• ABEM certification also eligible.
• Experience in a high-volume, high-acuity Emergency Department preferred.
• Interest in research, quality improvement, physician leadership, education, simulation, and geriatric emergency medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care in a high-acuity ED across two sites.
• Teach residents and UBC medical students on shift.
• Collaborate with trauma teams and interprofessional staff.
• Engage in research, quality improvement, and program development.
• Support scheduling flexibility and leadership initiatives within the group.
