Job summary

Independent Grocers Alliance in Canada is seeking a friendly cashier to join our store team. You will punch and scan merchandise, verify prices, handle cash and payments, and help maintain accurate till balances throughout your shift.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a cash register and assisting customers.
• Ability to handle transactions accurately and politely.

Responsibilities

• Punch and/or scan merchandise selected by customers.
• Ensure accuracy of prices and cancellations per standards.
• Handle cash and payments (debit, cheque, etc.) and deposits.
• Balance cash register and meet productivity standards (sales/hours, punching/minute).
