Job summary

AGT Foods is seeking a 5th Class Power Engineer / Extrusion Operator for its Regina, SK Extrusion Centre. The role includes operating a 200hp steam boiler and owning extrusion production lines to meet customer specifications.

Strong emphasis on safety, documentation, and teamwork across QA and Maintenance is required. The candidate should have a college degree or equivalent experience, with solid time management, initiative, and communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced production

Qualifications

• Time management and initiative are required to run a shift.
• Strong focus on safety and food safety procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents and follow instructions.
• Proven problem solving and analytical abilities; capable of working independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Run and maintain a 200hp 150psi steam boiler.
• Own extrusion systems to achieve a successful production shift.
• Set up and operate all extrusion production line equipment.
• Perform all pre-operational checks for all extrusion production line.
• Ensure recordkeeping is accurate and submitted at end of shift.
• Collaborate with Extrusion Lead, QA, and Maintenance to resolve issues.
• Monitor sampling, testing and production rates to meet specs.
• Follow cleaning, sanitization and waste reduction procedures.
• Dispose of chemicals properly and ensure compliance with safety standards.
