Job summary

Right at Home Canada is seeking experienced, professional DSWs to support 1:1 client care in the Scarborough area. We provide in-home support for seniors and others with medical or memory impairment, working with families and care teams.

Ideal candidates have compassion, patience, and strong communication. Requirements include a Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector and current Standard First Aid and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Friendly personality, patience and consistently positive attitude are valued.
• Ability to communicate well with clients of all types.
• Criminal Background Check including Vulnerable Sector is required.
• Current certification in Standard First Aid and CPR is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and social stimulation.
• Initiate and promote physical activity at any level.
• Plans, prepares and serves meals as needed.
• Prompt client to do personal care and assist if experienced.
• Perform housekeeping duties (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, dishes, laundry).
• Accompany clients on outings to appointments or activities for mental and physical stimulation.

What we need from you:
