Job summary

Nokia is seeking a talented engineer in Canada to develop and test embedded real-time DSP and control systems for advanced applications. You will work on Nokia's Optical Modem ASIC, perform MATLAB and C++ modeling, and contribute to firmware coding and API development for system validation.

The role involves real-time software development, hardware modeling in MATLAB/C++, and participation in digital ASIC simulation to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Combinatronics and Optimization, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited school in Canada.
• Proficiency in C and C++ programming.
• Experience using MATLAB for technical applications.
• Knowledge in DSP, control theory, and communications theory through coursework.

Responsibilities

• Program and test embedded control systems for a Nokia Optical Modem ASIC.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

• Perform MATLAB simulations and hardware modeling in C++ to support system design.
• Conduct real-time firmware coding, testing, and database API development.
• Contribute to digital ASIC simulation for system optimization and validation.

Key Skills And Experience

You have:

• Bachelor's or master's in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Combinatronics and Optimization, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited school in Canada.
• Proficiency in C and C++ programming.
• Experience using MATLAB for technical applications.
• Knowledge in DSP, control theory, and communications theory through coursework.

It would be nice if you also had:

• Previous intern experience at Nokia or Infinera.
