In this role, you will be responsible for applying joint compound, sanding, and finishing drywall surfaces to create smooth, seamless walls and ceilings that meet high-quality standards. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of residential, commercial, and restoration projects. Responsibilities

• Apply joint compound (mud) accurately and efficiently to drywall seams, screw holes, and surface imperfections.
• Sand finished surfaces smoothly to prepare for painting or further finishing work.
• Install drywall panels securely using appropriate fasteners and techniques.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure precise application of finishing techniques.
• Perform related tasks such as caulking, trim carpentry, and fixture installation to enhance overall project quality.
• Assist with water damage restoration, mold remediation, and other repair projects as needed.
• Maintain a clean work area, adhere to safety protocols, and ensure all tools and materials are used properly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in drywall finishing, taping, or plastering on construction sites.
• Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics, and various building materials including stucco and metal stud framing.
• Skilled in related trades such as carpentry, masonry, flooring installation, painting (including airless spray), tile laying, and remodeling.
• Familiarity with construction plumbing, water damage restoration, mold remediation, and fixture installation is a plus.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures on construction sites and ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination with attention to detail; ability to read technical drawings accurately.
