Job summary

A construction company located in Metro Vancouver is seeking a skilled drywall installer for a permanent full-time position. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in drywall installation and should be physically capable of performing demanding tasks. Key responsibilities include applying joint compound, measuring and fitting drywall sheets, and ensuring quality finishes. Competitive hourly salary and work is located on-site only.

Qualifications

• 2 years to less than 3 years of drywall installation experience.
• Ability to apply successive coats of compound and sand seams.
• Experience in measuring, cutting, and installing drywall sheets.

Responsibilities

• Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints.
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound.
• Measure, cut, fit, and install drywall sheets.
• Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists.
• Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry.
• Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
