Job summary

Une entreprise de plâtrage de la région de Vancouver recherche un plâtrier pour un poste permanent. Vous serez chargé d'appliquer et de lisser des couches de plâtre, d'installer des panneaux de gypse et de travailler dans un environnement poussiéreux et bruyant. Une expérience de 1 à 2 ans est requise. Ce poste est ouvert aux nouveaux arrivants et aux anciens réfugiés.

Qualifications

Tasks
  • Apply, level and smooth coats of plaster
  • Clean and prepare surfaces
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners
  • Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets
  • Mix plaster ingredients to desired consistency
  • Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists
  • Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry
  • Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound
Experience
  • 1 year to less than 2 years
Support for newcomers and refugees
  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and / or refugees
  • Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and / or refugees (for example : housing, transportation, storage, childcare, winter clothing, etc.)
