West Four Group of Companies Inc. in Saskatoon (Security Building Supplies) is seeking a Driver/Yard Worker to support contractors by loading/unloading, delivering materials, and keeping the yard organized and safe.

Applicants must hold a Class 3A driver’s license, be physically able to lift up to 80 lbs, and be available for weekends or overtime. Forklift certification is an asset and training will be provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Own safety boots (steel-toed) and willingness to train on forklift if needed.
• Class 3A Driver's License required for this position.
• Physically fit to lift up to 80 lbs and work in yard conditions.
• Experience with shipping/receiving is beneficial.
• Weekend/overtime availability may be required.
• Team-oriented with good communication in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload vehicles; assist customers in locating products.
• Deliver building materials to sites around Saskatoon.
• Maintain yard and warehouse cleanliness and safety.
• Ensure invoicing matches outgoing products.
• Work in all weather conditions as needed.
• Assist Dispatch and Operations Manager with duties as assigned.

Our brands include Security Building Supplies, Madero, Penner Doors & Hardware, and Two Six Creative, with facilities in Calgary, Saskatoon, Regina, and Winnipeg.

Security Building Supplies in Saskatoon has an opportunity for a Driver/ Yard Worker to join our team. This person will report to the Operations Manager.

Duties:

• Look after contractors and helping customers find products, load/unload vehicles.
• Deliver building materials to locations in and around Saskatoon
• Work safely and abide by OH&S standards/requirements.
• Unload transport trucks with product for the store and yard.
• Use proper material handling techniques to ensure minimal damage to yard inventory.
• Maintain the warehouse and yard areas clean and garbage disposal.
• Must be available to work the occasional weekend and overtime when required.
• Ability to work as part of a team and keep pace in a busy environment.
• Other duties as assigned by the Dispatch and Operations Manager.
• Ensure all products leaving the yard have been invoiced.
• Be able to work in the yard during adverse weather conditions.

Requirements:

• Own steel-toed boots
• Knowledge and experience in shipping and receiving would be beneficial
• Forklift certification would be an asset but willing to train the right person.
• Become knowledgeable about all products stored in the yard.
• Be physically fit and able to lift large, heavy and bulky objects up to 80lbs without struggle.
• High attention to detail in all areas of work.
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
• Class 3A Driver's License Required for this position.
