Job summary

A leading Canadian roofing supplier in Toronto is seeking a full-time truck driver to load and unload goods, oversee vehicle inspections, and handle payments. Candidates must have an AZ class license and 2 to 3 years of experience. The ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on-site is required. This position offers a salary of $36.00 hourly for 30 hours per week and is permanent. Experience

Responsibilities
  • Load and unload goods
  • Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
  • Pay and receive payments for goods
  • Perform brake adjustments
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
  • Perform preventive maintenance
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Documentation knowledge
