Job summary

UPS is hiring a part-time seasonal associate in Peterborough, ON to assist with deliveries and pick-ups in and around the Peterborough area. No driving required, you will walk to deliver packages and support the UPS driver.

The shift is 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday, 3–5 hours per day, with up to 25 hours per week. Compensation is $18.15 per hour, with paid training and employee discounts upon hire.

• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (32kg) unassisted.
• Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to deliver packages by walking.
• Hours may vary depending on the work volume.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up UPS packages efficiently and effectively.
• Learn and properly execute UPS package handling/delivery methods.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks as required.
• Record, track, and maintain information about delivered package.
• Meet UPS driver at assigned local meet point.
• Comply with UPS appearance guidelines by wearing the company-provided vest and uniform.

This part-time seasonal position assists UPS Package Drivers with deliveries and pick-ups of UPS packages at UPS drop boxes and customer locations in and around Peterborough Area. NO DRIVING REQUIRED The role involves working in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment, which requires continuous lifting, lowering, and carrying of packages. This position is essential to providing excellent customer service through efficiency and dedication.

Job Type: Part-Time, Temporary Seasonal

Work Location: Peterborough, ON

Workdays: Monday to Friday (Must be available to work all 5 days)

Shift Time: 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Flexibility with start and finish times required based on operational needs)

Hourly Wage: $18.15/hourly

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

REQUIREMENTS:

• This is a part‑time position, must be able to work 3-5 hours a day, various start times available between 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday (Flexibility required)
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. (32kg) unassisted. Typical package weight ranges from 25-35 lbs.

EXPENSES/WORKING CONDITIONS

• This is a unionized role and monthly union deductions will apply
