Job summary

Safex Transport seeks Class 1 truck drivers to travel in teams to the west coast of the United States. Trucks are brand new and assigned to drivers; couples are welcome. Responsibilities include loading/unloading merchandise, maintaining the vehicle, and reporting irregularities to head office.

Drivers must have a Class 1 license, travel experience, a clean driving record, and be able to communicate in French or English. Organizational skills and team spirit are important.

Qualifications

• Class 1 heavy-vehicle license required.
• Experience with long-haul/traveling long distances.
• Excellent driving record and clean safety history.
• Safe driving habits and adherence to road rules.
• Ability to communicate in French or English.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload various kinds of merchandise.
• Ensure the vehicle is well maintained during trips.
• Deliver merchandise and inform head office of irregularities.
