Purpose of the Position

Join as a Driver - Car Compound, contributing significantly to our St-Luc Auto Compound. Be part of a dedicated team ensuring smooth car compound operations and achieving outstanding results. As a Driver Car Compound you will transport materials between the compound and the train, along with safely loading and unloading railcars.

Position Accountabilities
  • Ensure all work cards are identified to driver number
  • Conduct visual inspection of assigned vehicle and ensure the vehicle is properly stocked for the day’s work
  • Load and unload railcars on designated tracks, and within designated parking zones
  • Work with team members to unload railcars on the track
  • Maintain work instruction generated by supervisor
  • Work in accordance with team members to opens railcar doors and install bridge-plates between railcars
  • Unchain bi-level and tri-level railcars on the track
Position Requirements
  • High school Education or GeneralEquivalency
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Able to work outside in all-weather conditions, this job is 100 % outdoor work
  • Able to lift 50 lbs
  • Able to sustain physical work on a daily basis
  • Flexibility to work on a 24/7 basis as required

Pre-Employment Requirements

Medical and Drug Testing

This is a safety sensitive position and a successful pre-employment medical assessment including physical, vision, hearing, and a negative company drug test is required. Post hire qualification drug testing may also be required.
