TheUnderground Drilling divisionwithinBusiness area Miningis an industry leading global provider of drilling equipment for underground mining and tunneling industry with focus on technology development and future innovative solutions to enable sustainable operations for our customers.

Sandvik Underground Drilling team has an excellent opportunity for a Drill master to ensure that our customers get world-class support in sales area South Europe, Middle East and CIS. As our intelligent drilling equipment fleet is growing, we are looking for new talents into our technical support. This position is permanent, full-time, and based at our global technology and manufacturing center for drilling equipment in Tampere, Finland. Position requires extensive travelling in South Europe, Middle East and CIS area (SEMEC).

Your mission – technically skilled, customer service minded expert

You will be part of the SEMEC team and you will work in close collaboration with the technical support team in Tampere. Your duties include:

  • Supporting all underground drilling applications in the South Europe, Middle East and CIS sales area
  • Commissioning of intelligent underground drilling equipment
  • Following up and ensuring the performance of equipment
  • Carrying out field service trips for fault finding, performance improvements and maintenance
  • Training technical teams in sales areas and end customers on all underground drilling applications
  • Supporting customers in equipment data transfer, connectivity, and network setup issues
Your background and what we find important

You will be trained for the job. However, to succeed in this position, you will need

  • M.Sc (/B.Sc) degree in relevant technical field, such as automation or electrics is an advantage
  • Hands-on experience on modern technology applications e.g., modern control system technologies.
  • Proficiency in maintaining automation equipment
  • Customer service attitude
  • Facilitation and presentation skills
  • Willingness for frequent international travel

We expect that you have energetic, innovative, and proactive way of working combined with good communication and collaboration skills. Experience on heavy machinery industry and/or mining or tunneling environment is considered a big plus. As we operate in multi-cultural and international setting, you communicate fluently in English and other languages are a considered a benefit.
