Job summary

Armour Transportation Systems in Fredericton is seeking a reliable Dock Worker to help move freight efficiently within the terminal and support on-time deliveries.

Shift is Sunday to Thursday, 9 PM–6 AM, with a starting wage of $18.58 per hour. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, sorting shipments, operating forklifts/pallet jacks, paperwork, and upholding safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Forklift certification is an asset.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload freight from trailers in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Sort, stage and organize shipments within the dock area.
  • Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks)
  • Verify shipment accuracy and report damages or discrepancies.
  • Maintain clean and organized work environment.
  • Attend in-house training sessions as required (e.g. dangerous goods, WHMIS).
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet deadlines.
