Job summary

Metro Vancouver’s Liquid Waste Services Department seeks a Division Manager, Engineering, Design and Construction (EDC) – WWTP to lead engineers in delivering capital and operating projects for wastewater treatment facilities. You will foster collaboration across teams, manage budgets, and guide strategic initiatives to ensure safe, efficient infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Applied Science Degree in Electrical, Environmental, Mechanical, Civil or Chemical Engineering.
• 10 years of recent, related progressive experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Membership or eligibility for immediate membership as a registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng).
• Extensive budgeting and financial management skills; ability to manage budgets and resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead a division of engineering and technical staff delivering capital and operating WWTP projects.
• Foster collaboration across project teams and divisions; resolve conflicts and adapt work plans.
• Prepare and report operating budgets and project portfolios; ensure efficient expenditure of funds.
• Oversee contract administration and technical specifications; guidance on proposals and reports.
• Provide leadership, coaching and development for staff; align activities with organizational goals.
