Emcon Services Inc. is seeking a Division Manager for the Sudbury, Ontario division to lead a high-performing team in road and bridge maintenance operations.

This salaried, non-union role focuses on strategic planning, contract compliance with the Ministry of Transportation, and budget management. You will supervise a workforce, ensure safety standards, and drive revenue opportunities while navigating union-related considerations as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Sudbury, Ontario contract areas with the Ministry of Transportation Ontario.
• Lead the management team in planning, organizing, and directing road and bridge maintenance programs.
• Meet or exceed contractual obligations to MTO and other regulatory agencies.
• Maintain a productive and safety-conscious workforce.
• Create and monitor area budgets; develop revenue opportunities.
• Develop staffing and succession plans and manage other duties as assigned.

Emcon Services Inc. is a proud Canadian based company with over 30 years of success as an interprovincial road and bridge maintenance contractor. We currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Division Manager, supporting our Sudbury, Ontario division.

Reporting to the District Manager, this role is responsible for:

• Overseeing the Sudbury, Ontario contract areas with the Minwodu of Transportation Ontario;
• Leading the management team in planning, organizing, and directing all aspects of the road and bridge maintenance program within the designated contract areas;
• Meeting or exceeding our contractual obligations to the MTO and other regulatory agencies;
• Maintaining a productive and safety conscious workforce;
• Creating and Monitoring area budgets;
• Evaluating and developing revenue opportunities;
• Developing staffing and succession plans;
• Other duties as assigned

The successful candidate must have:

• A thorough understanding of MTO specifications and quality assurance program;
• Proven interpersonal and leadership skills;
• Understanding labour agreements, employment and Health and Safety legislation;
• Excellent communication, organizational and decision-making skills;
• Proficient computer knowledge and ability to navigate industry programs;
• Prior experience working within a union environment is an asset.

This is a non-union, salaried, management position. Compensation and benefits will be based on the experience of the successful candidate. Pay Range: 90,000 - 95,000/yr
