A progressive educational institution in Fort St. John is seeking a compassionate school social worker. This role focuses on addressing the emotional and social well-being of students through direct and indirect services. School District 60, Indigenous Education Centre is looking for a compassionate, dedicated school social worker to assist in addressing the emotional and social well‑being of our students. We are dedicated to providing services that assist students to develop attitudes, skills and knowledge required to successfully participate in educational experiences. We provide indirect and direct services to the student and/or school community. Our collective knowledge, skills, energy, creativity and empathy support and nurture this process.
This position is from September 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026 with the possibility of an extension. This position will be seven (7) hours per day, 5 days a week, with some of those hours being outside of the regular scheduled school hours. The annual FTE for this position is .7692. Salary to be determined based on Education and Experience. The starting annual salary for this position is expected to be between $61,781 and $77,227.
This is an exempt position and as such is not eligible for overtime and it is not part of a Union.
