Job summary

Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is seeking a Distribution Coordinator to provide administrative, technical and operational support to ensure compliance with distribution practices. The role acts as a liaison between distribution, customer service, sales, warehouse and operations.

Schedule: Tue–Sat, remote on Saturdays, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Salary: CAD 55,430–72,730 with generous benefits including group insurance, retirement plan with employer contributions, telemedicine, employee share

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration or related field.
  • Experience in distribution, transportation, logistics and/or sales environments.
  • Strong IT skills with DDS/DSS systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for equipment setup and DDS-related systems.
  • Develop understanding of RDO policies and contracts and maintain policy documents.
  • Facilitate training and promote understanding of department policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with accountability, renewals, schedules and paperwork submissions.
  • Prepare reports, maintain records and complete route reporting with SKU-level analysis.
  • Coordinate meetings and prepare presentation materials for distribution team.

Overview of the role: Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is seeking a Coordinator, Distribution, for an existing opportunity within our organization. Reporting to the Distribution team, the Distribution Coordinator provides administrative, technical, and operational support to ensure compliance with established distribution practices and procedures. The successful candidate combines strong technical knowledge, business acumen, and initiative with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. This role serves as a key liaison between distribution, customer service, sales, warehouse, plant operations, and external stakeholders while supporting technology, reporting, fleet programs, training initiatives, and operational excellence.

Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday (remotely on Saturday), 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This position follows a regular daytime schedule and may require flexibility to support operational requirements and business needs.

Salary: $55,430 - $72,730 annually *Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training.

How you will make contributions that matter
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for new equipment setup, handheld software and hardware, and DDS-related systems for the Distribution team.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of RDO policies and contracts, including maintaining current policy documentation.
  • Facilitate training and promote understanding of departmental policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with established accountability practices, contractual renewals, schedules, document procedures, route settlements, and required paperwork submissions.
  • Prepare reports, maintain records, and complete route reporting including SKU-level analysis.
  • Provide timely support and feedback in response to RDO, LHO, and DSD inquiries and concerns.
  • Coordinate and participate in meetings, conference calls, and training sessions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare presentation materials and support communication initiatives on behalf of the Distribution department.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of promotional activities and measure participation and effectiveness.
  • Support maintenance programs for the Saputo fleet.
  • Coordinate trailer load balancing activities to optimize distribution operations.
  • Participate in Distribution team meetings, conference calls, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Track and administer expenses, business reviews, insurance documentation, driver's license updates, plant and Petro-Canada programs, and chargebacks as required.
  • Support claims administration, legal documentation, and RDO onboarding and termination activities.
  • Act as a liaison between customer service, warehouse operations, plant operations, sales teams, cheese branch operations, and distribution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications
  • Post‑secondary education in Business Administration, General Business, Transportation, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • Prior accounting experience is preferred.
  • Experience working in distribution, transportation, logistics, and/or sales environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of computer systems, Microsoft Office applications, handheld computer technology, DDS, and DSS systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot technical issues, provide technical support, and communicate technical information effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships across departments.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.
  • High level of dependability, professionalism, and accountability.
