Job summary

Veolia Canada is seeking a Dispatchable Field Service Representative to provide on-site operations and maintenance support for water treatment systems across industries. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls issues, perform calibration, monitor performance, and ensure safety and contract compliance.

You will travel up to 75% within the region, work independently with project teams, and maintain site paperwork while delivering technical summaries to customers.

Job Description

Job Summary:
As a Dispatchable Field Service Representative, you’ll be on the front lines providing operations and maintenance expertise on water treatment systems for our customers from a variety of industries. This mission-critical role involves working on a variety of technologies including media filtration, softening, reverse osmosis (RO), ion exchange (IX), de-oxygenation, electro deionization, and ultrafiltration (UF).

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Carry out mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation
  • Conduct maintenance and calibration activities
  • Operate, monitor, and optimize equipment performance
  • Create and maintain site paperworkand provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed
  • Consult with customer management and operation teams
  • Provide customers with informal training around operation and maintenance of their system
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts
  • Monitor and maintain chemical injection systems
  • Perform analytical testing such as: turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO2, O2, SDI, TOC, in addition to various other site-specific testing requirements
  • Review customer plant installations and compare against Water Tech's reference drawings (P&IDs, electrical schematics, general arrangement, etc.)
  • Ensure contract compliance with volume and quality specifications
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent mechanical know-how and problem-solving skills
  • Intermediate skills with Google Suite andMicrosoft Office
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely with project teams

Education & Experience:

Required

  • High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international equivalent; 2+ years’ experience in service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License

Preferred

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical certificate in Instrumentation

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to meet customer site access and security requirements
  • Travel within the region as needed, up to 75%
  • Support emergency jobs as required
