Dismantle Technician – MacLeod Trail Toyota

MacLeod Trail Toyota is our newest acquisition in Calgary, formally Heninger Toyota.

We are currently looking for a Dismantle Technician to join our collision repair team! This role is ideal for a 3rd or 4th year Auto Body Apprentice who has hands‑on experience in vehicle teardown and is eager to play a key role in the repair process. The Dismantle Technician is responsible for the safe and accurate disassembly of vehicles, identifying damage, documenting parts, and preparing vehicles for repair.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform complete and thorough teardown of damaged vehicles
  • Inspect vehicles for hidden damage and accurately document findings
  • Tag, organize, and store removed parts for repair, replacement, or reinstallation
  • Work closely with estimators to identify supplemental damage and parts requirements
  • Assist with quality control of incoming parts and ensure they are matched and labeled properly
  • Communicate effectively with parts, production, and body technicians
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety and environmental guidelines
  • Support reassembly process if required
  • Follow all company procedures and manufacturer specifications
  • Other duties as assigned by management
Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3rd or 4th year Auto Body Apprentice preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of vehicle construction
  • Previous experience in collision repair or dismantling vehicles is an asset
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
  • Physically capable of lifting, bending, and working in various positions
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract
