Fresh Kitchen + Juice Bar is hiring a Dishwasher in Toronto to maintain clean dishes, utensils and cooking equipment while supporting a smooth kitchen workflow. You will assist with stocking and organizing supplies, and help uphold hygiene standards in a fast-paced dining environment.

The role requires flexible availability across mornings, days, evenings and weekends, with physical tasks and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Open and flexible availability 8 AM–12 AM, including evenings and weekends.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable handling knives and cleaning solutions.

Responsibilities

• Verify quality and quantity of delivered items with packing slips.
• Store items in proper places and keep storage organized.
• Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils and equipment promptly.

What Are We Looking For?

• Open and flexible availability from 8 AM to 12 AM, including evenings and weekends
• Able to complete physically demanding tasks - standing for long periods, lifting 50 lbs, bending and reaching, etc.
• Comfortable with handling a knife and cleaning solutions
• Experience working in a kitchen, restaurant, or fast food chain (bonus)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Verifies the quality and quantity of delivered items and ingredients with the packing slip
• Puts away the delivered items and ingredients in the appropriate storage places
• Keeps storage places organized ensuring all supplies are visible most frequently used items are not on top shelves
• Cleans and sanitizes all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in a timely manner
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station up to policy standards
• Works closely with Line Cooks to ensure a smooth service
• Cleans and sanitizes all dishes, utensils, cooking equipment, etc. in a timely manner
• Prepares produce and ingredients with instructions from the manager
• Provides satisfaction by ensuring guests and staff are using clean dishes and utensils
• Empties out garage, compost and recycling bins
• Breaks down boxes and containers to put them in the recycling
• Keeps property grounds clean by sweeping outside, shovelling snow, etc.
• Understands the uses for all cleaning products in the workplace
• Adheres to outlined health and safety procedures and Fresh standards
• Attends pre-shift meetings and is prepared to participate by actively listening and working towards harmonious restaurant workflow
• Communicates openly with management about concerns regarding workflow, inventory and equipment

Hourly Rate

• $17.60/hr
