Job summary

A senior living community in Metro Vancouver is seeking a Dishwasher to join their team. This casual position offers shifts from Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and involves cleaning dishes and ensuring hygiene standards are met. Candidates must have at least Grade 10 education and customer service skills, and should be able to work independently or as part of a team. A Food Safe Certificate is essential within the first 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 minimum education required.
• Must have the Food Safe Certificate or willing to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Proven customer service skills and excellent command of verbal and written English language.
• Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team.
• Must pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning dishes, pots, glassware, and cutlery following established sanitation procedures.
• Ensuring correct usage of chemicals in dish machine and pot-washing areas.
• Cleaning kitchen, including mopping entire floor.
• Assuming cleaning tasks as per site cleaning schedules.
• Receiving, uncrating, and putting away supplier deliveries.
• Alerting team leader to problems and makes recommendations.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

We are looking for someone who is available anytime Monday to Friday 4:00PM-8:00PM

Wage Leveling rate of pay $24.08 per houruntil such time that wage leveling ends, then the pay rate will reflect thecollective agreementpay rates.

As a Dishwasher your typical day will impact in the following ways:

Responsibilities

• Cleaning dishes, pots, glassware, and cutlery following established sanitation procedures.
• Ensuring correct usage of chemicals in dish machine and pot-washing areas, i.e. uses 3-sink method for pot washing.
• Cleaning kitchen, including mopping entire floor.
• Assuming cleaning tasks as per site cleaning schedules.
• Receiving, uncrating, and putting away supplier deliveries as required.
• Alerting team leader to problems and makes recommendations about corrective action.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Must haves:
