Kingston Marriott Hotel is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to support our culinary team and deliver guest experiences. You will clean, sanitize, and organize dishware, cookware, and kitchen areas while promoting a safe, fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up dishwashing stations, including loading dish machines and preparing equipment.
• Rinse and scrape dishes before loading and operating dishwashing equipment.
• Store all clean dishware, cookware, utensils and equipment properly.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and work areas.
• Handle and dispose of chemicals safely according to procedures.
• Report malfunctions or safety concerns to a supervisor.
• Empty garbage and transport waste to disposal areas.
• Maintain pot-washing stations and sanitize floors and surfaces.
• Monitor dish machine temperatures and chemical levels.
• Promote teamwork with Culinary, Banquets, Restaurants and Maintenance teams.

Position Summary

The Dishwasher is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing dishware, glassware, silverware, cookware, utensils, kitchen equipment, and work areas in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. This position helps maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen while supporting overall food and beverage operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up dishwashing stations, including filling dish machines, checking chemical levels, pre-soaking items, and preparing equipment required for the shift.
• Rinse and scrape dishes before loading and operating dishwashing equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
• Ensure all clean dishware, cookware, utensils, and equipment are properly stored in designated locations.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment including hoods, filters, steam tables, carts, sinks, refrigerators, freezers, service areas, walls, and floors.
• Properly handle, use, and dispose of kitchen chemicals and grease in accordance with safety procedures.
• Inspect equipment and machinery and promptly report any malfunctions, hazards, or safety concerns to a supervisor.
• Empty and clean garbage containers and transport waste and recycling materials to designated disposal areas.
• Set up and maintain pot-washing stations according to established procedures.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors throughout the shift and after spills to maintain a safe work environment.
• Monitor dish machine chemicals and water temperatures to ensure sanitation standards are met.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area throughout the shift.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with Culinary, Banquets, Restaurants, and Maintenance teams.
• Follow all Company, Brand, Food Safety, Health & Safety, and sanitation standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Work in hot, humid, and fast-paced kitchen environments.
