JOB SUMMARY

The Director, Sales Operations supports the commercial organization as a strategic partner to the business. Leads a team that is responsible for the development and optimization of business processes that impact the sales organization. Applies thought leadership to introduce innovative capabilities and execute the strategy through cross‑functional partnerships. Drives operational improvements across the business segment, leveraging quantitative rigor and business acumen. Cultivates long‑term relationships with key stakeholders through exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Focus on supporting sales efforts to ensure operational best practices and data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Review and recommend tools and processes in our efforts to manage customer activity including sales engagement, productivity & enablement, sales intelligence, and analytics & reporting, resulting in greater selling efficiencies.
  • Create structure/systems in the business where it was lacking before, leverage experience and proficiencies to make improvements in the business.
  • Manage overall programs and tasks related to operationalizing the programs of your aligned business segment.
  • Strategically identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to propel company growth.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, identify areas for enhancement, and implement solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Manage Monthly Business Reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews, and cadence reporting and metrics. Develop a deep understanding of the supported business segments and teams.
  • Lead and mentor the sales operations team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, creating cross‑functional synergies, and collaboration.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • University Degree
  • Relevant business experience
  • Over 7‑10 years of progressive experience (inclusive of at least 4 years of managing people)
  • Experience and skills in influencing, leading and directing individuals in a matrixed organization
  • Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to effectively deploy resources and manage multiple projects of diverse scopes in a cross‑functional environment.
  • Demonstrated ability for collaboration and influence, including adapting influencing approach.
  • Proven strategic thinker with strong foundation in tactical execution and project management.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to multi‑task and prioritize.
  • Self‑starter with a passion for cross‑functional collaboration and strong ability to manage complexity and thrive in ambiguity.
  • Ability to preempt and rapidly resolve conflicts and incorporate perspectives of others to achieve alignment.
  • Position requires travel up to 50% for business purposes (in and out of province).
