Qualifications

• Wealth/financial services industry knowledge is required.
• 7+ years of experience in Finance, Planning, Performance Management or Analytics.
• Degree in Business or Finance; CPA/CFA/MBA designation preferred.
• Bilingual in French and English for Quebec role; ability to support bilingual staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly/quarterly/annual sales and income reporting for RA&S Wealth channels.
• Develop RA&S Wealth QBR packages and explain key income drivers to senior leaders.
• Lead wealth business planning, forecasting and strategic processes with partners.
• Support strategic projects including M&A activity.
• Engage with internal partners on sales data discussions and data quality.
• Mentor a senior analyst and ensure high-quality financial outputs.

About The Role

Reporting to the AVP, CFO - Retail Wealth Dealers, this role is responsible for leading management reporting, forecasting, and business and strategic planning and analysis for the growing Wealth distribution channel within the Retail Advice & Solutions (RA&S) business unit. This role will work independently and collaboratively with the business and finance partners within RA&S and Canadian Finance to deliver accurate and timely financial information and insightful analysis with outcome-based results. The scope and scale of this role requires a high level of strategic focused mindset, analytical insight, and operational efficiency to support the growing business and meet key reporting deadlines. The successful candidate can work out of the Waterloo King or Toronto York location.

What You'll Be Doing

• Oversee complete, accurate and timely monthly/quarterly/annual sales and income reporting for the Wealth distribution channels within RA&S
• Own the development of the RA&S Wealth Quarterly Business Review (QBR) packages, explaining the key drivers of the current and forecasted income for senior business and finance leaders
• Lead the RA&S Wealth business and strategic planning & forecasting process & influence outcomes by collaborating with business partners and senior leaders
• Provide leadership and support for strategic projects and initiatives, including support for any M&A activity
• Serve as a point person in discussions with the internal partners about sales data
• Support other Wealth reporting deliverables as required
• Build trusted relationships with senior business partners, Finance leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to influence decisions, align priorities, and deliver high-quality service to the business
• Identify and implement continuous process improvements and automation to enhance forecast accuracy and create process efficiencies
• Lead and mentor a senior analyst, fostering their professional development while ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality financial output

What you’ll need to succeed

• Business and product knowledge and experience related to Wealth and/or financial services industry
• 7+ years of experience in Finance, Planning, Performance Management, Business Analytics, or related field
• Degree in Business, Finance, or similar. Designation (CPA, CFA, MBA) preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Sharepoint)
• Experience with financial reporting tools (Longview, Workiva, SAP)
• Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders across the organization
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to explain difficult issues to audiences of different levels of understanding
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills to support data-driven decision making
• Effective and strong leadership abilities to gain momentum through direct & indirect influence
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and meet tight deadlines, while optimizing work processes
• Self-motivated and capable of handling conflicting priorities in a dynamic and changing environment
• As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only as the position includes managing both French and English-speaking staff (Quebec and outside Quebec) and providing daily support to the team
