Compensation Range: 119,300-149,200 plus bonus

Job Purpose

Oversees product management function for Communications Power System lines to create and implement successful strategies that lead to the creation of product solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Gather knowledge of relevant markets and customer trends, which lead to the development of product line architectures for both domestic and international markets
  • Direct and oversee the justification for product development, improvement or obsolescence based on product performance
  • Drive the definition and implementation of new product plans and product development projects
  • Promote a strong working relationship between Product Management, Sales Operations, PMO and Engineering
  • Implement product introduction strategies working with Marketing department
  • Develop customer pricing and if necessary, OEM distribution pricing strategies with regard to products in collaboration with sales leadership
  • Attend industry tradeshows and on-site customer survey visits to assemble information on technology trends to feed Broadband product strategy.
  • Display Thought Leadership through industry conference speaking engagements and webinar interviews and by the creation of content for technical papers.
Qualifications

This position contains supervisory responsibilities

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military training in field of engineering or technical
  • Experience: 8 - 10 years in field of product management, new product development and marketing.
  • Supervisory Experience: 4 - 6 years

Requirements and Skills

  • Ability to motivate cross-functional team and work in matrix organization
  • Proven track record in leading teams
  • Understanding of sales process, strategy development, business-case development, and market implementation
  • Capable of presenting strategic initiatives to senior and executive management
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Excellent understanding of budgeting, P&Ls, and product profitability analysis
  • Ability to deliver objectives within budgetary boundaries
  • Professional demeanor; team player orientation
  • Ability to interface with internal/external partners at all levels
  • Ability to deal with customers with a strong degree of technical competence

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with power systems and communications industry knowledge are preferred.
